Step back in time for family fun this half term with Victorian
Games at Tower Bridge!
Published: 9 February 2012
There's lots of good old-fashioned fun to be had at Tower Bridge
during February half term break when the high level Walkways will
once again be the setting for a range of traditional Victorian
Games.
From Saturday 11th February to Sunday 19th February tickets to
the "The World’s Most Famous Bridge" will include the added
attraction of giant dominoes, hopscotch, noughts & crosses,
quoits and roll-a-ball, with prizes available for some games.
Before reaching the games arena in the panoramic East and West
Walkways with amazing views across London, visitors can explore the
magnificent Bridge to find out why and how it was built and what
life was like at the time in Victorian London. Back on ground level
in the Engine Rooms there’s the chance to see the magnificent
restored steam machinery that was used to power the bridge
lifts.
Younger visitors can also enjoy the Guy Fox Tower Bridge
Passport, a sticker-based activity free for every child which makes
exploring the history of the Bridge fun and helps to focus their
attention during their visit. The Passport is available in several
languages.
